On a wet miserable Friday night we took the bus to
We arrived about 11:30pm to a freezing city and we were about 10 km from town. The bus depot is at a place called Meadowhall. This is the location of the biggest shopping centre in
Squeezing 4 people into a 3 bed hotel room was a lot of fun. But we did it and after some chatting and a drink it was off to bed for a big day. Muse, HERE WE COME!
After a good sleep in, as we were in the middle of nowhere, it took about an hour on 2 buses but we were there. So went down to the pub, pigged out on burger and a couple of drinks. By that stage it was time to head down to the stadium for Muse. There was a big queue as we got there before the gates opened.
Once inside, off to the Merchandise stand, then for a beer and inside to get comfortable. Our seats were 3 rows from the back but at least in front of the stage. But we had a great view. The support band was pretty crap. The stage was looking so poor, we were getting worried. But they were soon over and the anticipation was building for the moment we were waiting for. And boy was it worth the wait! The curtain came down and Muse came out with all guns blazing!!
The sound, lighting and the atmosphere that they created in the first song was great. This was gonna be a special show. We will let you have a look at some of the pictures to get an idea of what we were seeing. But to be there was something special. And the finale was awesome too. A great encore was enjoyed by all. They played for about 1 ½ hours.
It wasn’t so easy to get home, with about 40,000 people trying to get home too. Taxis were a little hard to find! And the temperature was probably 2 degrees (maybe less?) stuck out waiting for our ride, the taxi was booked but it didn’t turn up. So eventually a bus came that took us to a town,
Next morning packed up and on our way home. We checked out that Meadowhall shopping centre. It makes Galleria look like a local store! We all had some lunch and back on the bus for our trip home. An uneventful bus journey back to
