Return to London

Hey all,

Hope you are enjoying enjoying yourselves. We have now returned to London (duh). We had arranged to rent a room from Nat's friend Caroline. This is in the South-West of the city in an area called London Victoria. It is about 10 minutes walk from Big Ben and The Houses of Parliament. And only a 5 minute walk to the Thames. A great area, very cool indeed. It is a comfy 3 bedroom flat sharing with 2 other girls, Canadian Sarah and English Sarah. So we renamed them S1 and S2. With free broadband and free calls to Australia it was great. Check out the pictures of the place we were at here:

We picked up our stuff from the old house in West Hampstead and caught up with the girls which was great. Celebrate with a beer down at the local pub!

Settled into our room and it was time to find a job! Nat had no problem finding some more work in accounts, and had 5 agencies ringing her by the end of the week. Cam was struggling a bit but got some labouring work, and the bar work on the weekend.

Nat started her new job, but was not enjoying it so took up another offer for a huge IT financial company, Sungard. This is working out well for her and there is always heaps to do.

As we only had the flat for 3 weeks, we had to start looking for somewhere to live. Went and checked out a couple of places, but they are so expensive over here! At the last minute a forwarded e-mail came through from Craig (Nat's cousin) adviseing us that a 5 bedroom house has become available in Clapham North, about 15 minutes from the city centre. The Clapham area is huge, with 3 suburbs all part of the Clapham area! So it was down there to meet the landlord, and as soon as we saw the room, it was yeah! The room is huge! About 4.5m x 5.5m. Even bigger than our place back at home! The only downfalls of the place was that is has only 1 bathroom, and we will have to move out again in Early February, but oh well.

So whilst we were here we went up to Sheffield to see the legendary band, MUSE!
