Le Tour de France

Hey all,

Hope you enjoyed the Ireland trip as much as we did!

7-8 July 07, was a huge weekend in London. There was the Tour de France, Silverstone GP, Wimbledon Final and the biggee Live Earth! There was just to much to do in one weekend! We managed to get to the Opening ceremony of the Tour de France, watch the race in Hyde Park and Live Earth. There was just too much to do!

Anyway the Tour de France was pretty amazing! We didn't get to see the race but they put on a really good show for the opening ceremony. This was in Trafalgar square, where the famous Nelson's column is located. Firstly a dj, then a dance routine then brought out the teams. Apparantly there was about 1 million people there! Here is some of the teams on the podium getting interviewed. It was really good to see some Aussie flags there when the Aussies were interviewed. All the teams got wheeled out. There was some interesting interviews with language barriers providing some problems.

Afterwards a band played some R&B music. This was our time to depart, stage left!
